We’re very excited to announce that the Dealership of the Month award for April 2023 goes to Citygate VW West London. The win comes after a quick increase in the number of customers using Bumper’s payment options at the West London site.

Following a recent refresher training session with Bumper’s Business Development Consultant Islay Horton, the team on-site have implemented Bumper’s payment options into their everyday processes. 

The use of a variety of Bumper payment options has increased customer satisfaction for the VW team and it’s started to show in their customers’ reviews. One VW driver said, “Fast and efficient. Great awareness of each individual client's requirements. Quick, online service checks allowing to produce and offer the most suitable financial product package.” 

Of the win, Islay Horton, said, “It’s fantastic to see the refresher training from last month has paid off. The team at Citygate VW West London were extremely receptive to the training on the day and very keen to understand how different payment options can improve the customer experience. 

“I’m really pleased to see they’ve hit the ground running and I’m excited to see what will follow over the next few months.”

Citygate VW West London named Dealership of the Month 

We’re delighted to announce that Lookers BMW have been named Dealership of the Month for March 2023. The win follows an exceptional month for the Stoke-based team utilising Bumper’s payment options across the site’s service and sales departments.

Having recently completed Bumper’s refresher training course in February the site saw a sharp uptick in the usage of Bumper’s PayLater payment option allowing customers to split the cost of repairs, services, accessories, and value-added products into interest-free monthly instalments.

The award was presented to the team by Bumper’s Business Development Consultant for the Midlands and South West, Islay Horton. Islay is pictured below with Lookers BMW Stoke’s Used Car Sales Transaction Manager, Antony Hine, and Sales Executive, Daniel Price.

Lookers BMW Stoke Named Dealership of the Month

JCB Euro SEAT & Skoda Crawley have been crowned Dealership of the Month for February 2023. 

The site has shown that by implementing Bumper's Open Banking product, they have been able to save time and money when taking payments for value added products across their sales department. 

 allows customers to make payments using their bank credentials direct to the dealership’s bank account. This avoids the use of third-party processors – which significantly reduces a dealership’s payment fees and is far faster (funds are received in a matter of seconds). 

Additionally, transactions require bank authentication within the customer’s banking app, mitigating the risk of fraudulent payments for the retailer. 

The trophy was presented on-site by Bumper Business Development Consultant, Jack McHale. Jack is pictured above with James Woodard who accepted on behalf of the JCB sales team. 

Jack said, “The JCB group were already a great Bumper partner with our PayLater solution and have implemented Open Banking into their sales & aftersales process, with Crawley taking the award for how quickly they adopted this new payment option since launch.”

The team at Aberdeen have been providing exceptional customer service for the two years they’ve been a part of the Bumper network. 

This commitment to the perfect customer journey is reflected in their Trustpilot reviews, where drivers praise the team’s efficiency and ease of setting Bumper payment plans. SEAT Spain has announced they are launching Bumper across their network. Franchisees will be offering both PayLater, Bumper’s interest-free monthly payment option, and PayNow, a one-off payment option customers can use to pay remotely from their own devices. 

Initial uptake has sky-rocketed with 182 sites signed up and 228 vehicles repaired through the Bumper platform, an uptake in part due to the promotion through SEAT’s website and social media channels. 

Easing car repairs amid the cost-of-living crisis 

Bumper’s Buy Now Pay Later allows drivers to better manage their finances by easing the burden of car repairs into their monthly outgoings. This a trend we’ve already seen take off across the retail sector with the likes of Klarna. 

Nick Squire, Bumper’s International Sales manager, responsible for Bumper’s roll-out across European markets, commented, “We’ve seen fantastic early adoption of Buy Now Pay Later here in Spain, with sites already seeing a reduction in discount levels in favour of offering Bumper’s monthly payment option. 

“Moreover, SEAT’s quick roll-out has helped to increase traction with dealerships by placing considerable focus on driving our BNPL offering via their Facebook and website. Getting the product in front of dealerships is key to the early stages of our move into Spain and SEAT has proved to be essential in making that happen.”

We're pleased to announce the Dealership of the Month for November 2022 is Mercedes-Benz of Exeter. Bumper Business Development Consultant, Marc Durrant, met the team on-site to deliver their award. 

The Exeter team had an impressive month using both PayLater, interest-free monthly payments available on repairs, and PayNow, a one-off secure link customers can use to pay remotely, to improve customer satisfaction. 

This improvement in customer satisfaction is demonstrated in their Trustpilot reviews. One commented, “Never having heard of Bumper I was surprised at the speed at which everything was arranged. Everything was done very efficiently and promptly.” 

Another said, “This was very helpful; I had a huge bill, was great to know I didn’t have to pay straight away and it’s interest-free!” 

Since joining Bumper’s network in April 2022, the site quickly implemented Bumper into their aftersales process helping customers drive away happier and safer.
